This residential solar project is located in Lekki, Nigeria, where the public power supply from NEPA is often unstable and unreliable. The customer was building a new villa and wanted a dependable energy solution that could combine solar power with the grid supply, using solar energy as the primary source and NEPA as backup power.
To meet the customer’s energy demands, we designed and installed a 40KW hybrid solar power system with a 76.8KWH lithium battery storage solution. The system includes 70 high-efficiency solar panels and a 40KW hybrid inverter, providing stable and efficient electricity for the entire villa.
During the system design process, we carefully evaluated the customer’s household appliances and daily electricity consumption, especially the number and power requirements of the air conditioners, which are one of the largest power loads in residential villas in Nigeria. Based on these requirements, the system was customized to ensure reliable daily operation while maximizing the use of solar energy.
With the hybrid configuration, the villa can prioritize solar power during the daytime, store excess energy in the batteries for nighttime use, and automatically switch to NEPA when additional power support is needed. This significantly reduces dependence on the unstable utility grid and minimizes electricity expenses.
After installation, the system provides the customer with a more stable, quiet, and energy-efficient power supply, helping reduce electricity bills while solving the common problem of frequent power outages in the area.
