This project is located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and is designed for a local hotel with a high demand for reliable electricity. As a hospitality business, the hotel needs stable power throughout the day to maintain comfortable guest rooms and ensure the smooth operation of its daily services.
The hotel relies on electricity for essential loads such as air conditioning, lighting, refrigeration, water pumps, kitchen equipment, and other hotel facilities. Any power interruption can affect daily operations and the guest experience, making a reliable power supply particularly important.
To address these challenges, TANFON provided a 100kW solar power solution designed around the hotel’s actual electricity demand. The system uses solar energy to supply the hotel’s loads and reduce its dependence on conventional power sources.
During periods of strong sunshine, the solar system can provide clean electricity directly to the hotel’s electrical loads. By making greater use of solar energy, the hotel can reduce its reliance on grid electricity and diesel generation while improving overall energy efficiency.
For hotels in areas where grid power can be unstable or diesel costs are high, a properly designed solar system can provide an effective way to improve energy reliability and control long-term operating costs. The 100kW solution gives this hotel access to cleaner energy while supporting its daily operations.
This project demonstrates how commercial solar power can be integrated into hotel applications to provide reliable, cleaner, and more economical energy. With solar power supporting the hotel’s daily electricity needs, TANFON helps hospitality businesses move toward a more stable and sustainable energy future.
